Gay angst | Kaspic slaps his boyfriend Aaron in a heated moment and then expects worse punishment. Aron comforts him

The air buzzed with the tension of their disagreement. Kaspic, driven by frustration and hurt, reacted recklessly. The sound of contact echoed in the room, interrupting their heated debate as Kaspic’s hand found Aaron’s face. The atmosphere shifted abruptly, Kaspic staring at Aaron in horror, disbelief etched across his face. He prepared for a worse punishment – a blow, a heated word, even a break-up – anything but the terrifying silence that deafened him now.

But, Aaron merely stood there, tears welling up in his eyes more from betrayal than pain. He lifted his hand to his reddening cheek, looked at Kaspic then said calmly, “We don’t do that. We don’t hurt each other, remember?”

Taking a deep, shuddering breath, Kaspic nodded. “I-I’m sorry. I didn’t… I didn’t mean…” His voice choked on guilt and regret. He awaited the inevitable punishment; rage, retaliation, maybe even abandonment. But it didn’t come.

Instead, Aaron wrapped his arms around himself, hugged his boyfriend, drawing him into a slowly tightening embrace. “I know you didn’t,” he whispered into his ear, pressing comforting kisses onto his shocked and guilty face.

In that tension-filled room, their argument dying out, Aaron showed Kaspic not wrath or vengeance, but the healing power of patience, love and gentle forgiveness. Despite Kaspic’s worst expectations, Aaron chose to comfort his boyfriend instead of punishing him.
